Established in Boulder, Colorado in 2003, Big Chill started with the initial launch of the Retro fridge by product designer Orion Creamer and co-founder Thom Vernon. Incorporating a palette of colors inspired by cars and kitchens of the 50s, the Big Chill was an instant hit, and additional products were soon added to the Retro line.

Their product selection expanded with the introduction of the Classic Line, inspired by the industrial-chic movement, and the Pro Line which blends modern styling and sophisticated colors. Big Chill continues to be an industry leader in design and color today, with all products being designed, assembled and shipped from US factories.
