Two families, one company; founded 125 years ago by engineer Carl Miele and businessman Reinhard Zinkann, Miele still belongs exclusively to direct descendants of the pair. Their guiding principle, "Immer Besser" - which translates as "Forever Better", still shapes the company today. One of Miele's core values is its products' durability, whether used for laundry care, vacuuming, or in the kitchen, Miele appliances are subjected to the strictest stress and endurance tests before their market launch. Miele washing machines were recently validated by an endurance test commissioned by Germany's leading "wfk" laundry research institute, where the results showed that Miele washing machines were the only ones still in proper working condition after an excruciation 4995-cycle endurance tests equating to 20 years of service.
