I bought this nearly 5 years ago. I am thrilled with it. The oven is dual fuel although it wasn't advertised as such. It is easy to clean; easy to use; cooks well; looks fabulous. Another surprise feature is the wok holder... just turn the left front grate over and set your wok into it for delicious stir fried quick dish.

When I had to replace my range that I really liked, and was no longer made. , I had seriously doubted I would find one I liked as much, nor would I find one that would slide in properly in my granite counter tops. This range fit right in, looks great, and I am still learning how to use all the features it has. Great product, great price; I couldn't be happier with my new range. Now I finally have all Kitchenaid appliances in my kitchen.

We bought this stove 3 years ago. It has actually only been used for about 18 months (we are away for the Winter). A month ago we started. Having trouble with the oven. It would not light. It was repaired on November 23 at a cost of $750. Parts and labour. Yesterday the oven quit again.

While using 2 of the main burners the digital display blanks out. After stovetop has cooled the display works again. 2nd problem One day for no apparent reason the oven door decided to lock shut. I followed the directions to get it to disengage the lock. But no luck. I had to get creative and jimmy the door open with an old wire coat hanger. Then I was able to get to the screws that would allow me to remove the display screen so I could get to the broke lock mechanism. This mechanism costs 130 dollars. I am probably just going to run the oven with out the oven lock until it dies. I don't see a 130 investment being cost effective.

Thus far we are delighted with this range. Apparently all "slide in ranges" are more expensive then their counterparts. All features are sensical i.e. flip over burner grate to hold a wok and placement of different burner types on range. Oven "clicks" quite a bit when igniting and maintaining temperature.Easy to clean and attractive finish.

This stove beeps as the controls are in the front. Grates are high off burner and it takes a long time to even boil water. Grates are heavy and scratch bottom of pans. Popping noise when oven is lit. There are pleanty of other good stoves on the market. Stay away from this model.

KGSS907SSS-NAR This my second oven from Kitchen aid the first lasted one year to the day after six attempts to fix it kitchen aid finally sent me a new one, this one is four months old and now is doing the same thing as the old one oven won't stay hot so hear I go again. don't buy this PIECE OF JUNK least it's no the holiday season like last time.

Moved in to our home and saw what looks to be a beautiful gas range. Problem is it shuts off when it gets too hot. We just ran a self clean on it, it shut off mid process, and now we can not get it to power back on.

I regret not writing a review when I purchased this two years ago.I have had several different ranges over the years including gas and electric, brand name and no-name, and at least five in rental apartments. I updated all my appliances and, partly due to the fact my mother was a big KitchenAid fan in the past and the brand's overall reputation, I purchased this model. Without exaggeration, I can say this is the WORST oven I have ever used. It has routinely disappointed. The burners take 20 minutes to boil water; basically everything you read in the negative reviews is true. I can't afford to replace it. I've essentially stopped cooking as much due to the poor performance of this range! Additionally, the microwave is worse than my Sharp countertop I had in college.

Moved into new house a little over a year ago and needed to purchase a new stove. We decided to upgrade to a gas range. This stove has been a disappointment from day one. We have had to have it repaired twice leaving long periods in the winter months without the use of the oven. The burners are extremely slow and takes twices as long to cook anything. I would never recommend this product.

We are NOT professionals BUT I am a serious home baker and we are real cooks; we don't buy appliances for looks. This appliance is powerful and durable - an excellent buy for the price range. The controls are well-placed and mostly easy to use. We haven't used all the features. Only minor complaint - we are going to have recalibrate the oven temp - it's definitely "low". Cleaning the interior-most part of the burners is not easy and currently I am approaching Kitchen Aid about replacing the rings on the biggest burner due to some pre-mature wear. Overall though... highly recommended.

After quite a bit of research, my husband & I decided on this range. Since our old range was quite basic and had a very uneven oven, this is a HUGE step up with a lot more features. Now that we've used this range a couple weeks, we are very happy with it! Since the on-line reviews were mixed, I was skeptical. What really sold me on it was being in the appliance store & having a customer tell me it's the stove she bought and how much she LOVES it! The burners offer a great variety of cooking temperatures, and I love the smooth grate top for easily sliding pots around. I used the oven to bake a pie, which turned out perfectly. I just tried the convection oven with the probe which took the guess work out of roasting a delicious chicken. The warming drawer is very handy when preparing a big meal. The one feature I've been warned not to use on this range is the sef-cleaning oven due to the high heat possibly causing damage. I decided all the other features make up for this flaw, so I'll scrug the oven by hand.

I really am liking the new range , I replaced it from an almost 3 yr old GE Cafe , that was a lemon, Very happy I went with the KA , Yes it is MUCH louder when going on to reach temp and it does a pop sound, But you get used to it, I have more of a problem with a vibrating noise that happens when its cooking , I cant seem to locate where it is coming from to stop it. I also would change the open hole/pipe that the air escapes from in the middle of the burners, I am afraid something will get dropped in there , plus the cover is not coated with any type of feet so that also vibrates, I was very spoiled with being able to put LARGE baking sheet trays in or even average sized sheet trays but with this oven, its not possible , The depth is VERY short compared to a regular oven, there is a huge area behind the stove that it wont go back any farther , I have to find something to cover that area now, last stove was a 30 inch as well but went right up against the wall.It said 27 an 3/8 depth but its only 15 depth for a tray inside, where I was able to use 2 trays on a rack i only can use 1 width wise. these are all little things but I hope to add some good information so KA could become even better. I love my over all stove and would not mind at all too be a KA tester LOL! IF i could change one thing it would be the depth of the stove to go back farther and allow for a longer sheet tray. The warming drawer is terrific!! the controls are great, they do not get scorching hot when the oven is on, and they also have a rubber area on the knobs.

This was a replacement upgrade from a previous Kitchenaid range. The convection is quick and the instructions are clear. I see this as a real help with all areas of cooking. Bought a wok for the stovetop conversion. Highly recommended.

Good features, like the convection feature. When fan bearings were bad, it sounded like an airplane taking off. Not usable for Thanksgiving or it would have cooked off the electronics. Lost oven use for 10 days for a new fan.

Almost a year now since this purchase. I am disappointed that I have to take the racks out to clean my oven. I had hoped to get away without the manual oven cleaning. also I find that the grates above the burners are very hard to keep clean. do you have any suggestions? never Had gas before and find cooking different, My pots seem to heat around the outside edges before the centre boils. it also takes longer to boil than on my old electric burners. I thought gas was supposed to be faster? on the whole I am happy with the product but would like you input if you can help with these issues. thanks. delise

We've had in home warranty service 3 or 4 times..lost track. The stove is constructed in a way that makes life very tough for the service technicians-tough for them to reassemble...likely its life has been shortened. 1-800 service is old tech and unacceptable. There should be a local agency who can authorize and perform work. Gas flow at burners is uneven and independent licensed gas technician unable to improve it.

Bought this as an upgrade to the builder appliances in June 2012. This range has worked really well and the oven temperature control is superb. I have never used another range that consistently cooks roasts perfectly.

Bought this a couple years ago and works great! Only problem was the main wiring harness ended up with a short in it and kept tripping the electrical breaker. Fixed with no issues quickly under warranty.

We purchased this range because we were changing counter-tops and had always wanted a slide-in. Our previous 9 yr old Kitchen-aid gas stove had no problems, so naturally we purchased another. Unlike the other, this one gives off a lot of heat and is noisy (the fan is constantly on from preheat to shut-off) and the ignition gives a loud snap. I've been told this unit is efficient, but that's hard to believe... the temperature coming out of the vent is the same temperature as the oven setting with the fan running continuously. The grates are too heavy to lift easily. They'll eventually scuff the surface of the base. Spills do not clean up well on the grates and the base. The warming drawer is cheaply made. I'll certainly shop around the next time.

I bought this in May and love all the features. My only issue is with the top grill. It is very difficult if not impossible to clean. Spills that happen while cooking cannot come out. I have tried every product and home remedy and they do not work. On my previous gas stove the grill was shiny and smooth and easy to clean. This type of grill should be offered as an option or upgrade.

Our home came with a different Kitchenaid slide-in gas range( 2005) that had electrical problems (due to self cleaning glitch) and had to be monitored when baking, because of re-igniting issues. This new one is far superior...sleeker burner profile and with a warming oven I use regularly to warm plates. Love it !

I'm not sure how Kitchenaid is screening these reviews but, if your reading this as part of a purchase decision, do yourself a favor and read reviews on other sites. For example, try the largest retailer on the planet. You'll see the 2.5 star truth, which I feel is generous. I just had this range and so-called matching micro hood professionally installed yesterday. When I got home, I couldn't have been more disappointed. The overall design, quality, and value is shockingly poor. Here are a few points I noticed immediately. 1. The handles on the range do not match the micro hood. They are a different shape and color. No mistake. The micro hood is the architect II series as well. 2. The LED clock is so bright, you could read by it at night. It also doesn't match the micro hood clock. It's so bright, you can see the whole control circuit board. 3. The cast iron grate on the right side is warped upward 1/4" in the middle. It's visible from the front of the stove. 4. The knob for the duel burner sticks out further than the other knobs. 5. All igniters come on when turning on a single burner. 6. There is no "high" stop. You have to find the point just after the igniters stop. 7. There are razor sharp edges where paper thin stainless is wrapped around the oven door. 8. The overall quality is very thin cheap feeling. You could fold the warming drawer in half with your bare hands. 9. The cheap chrome bolts with brown plastic pads molded on them for leveling legs are visible from the front. There is no attempt to hide them. Really cheesy. 10. The color of the Kitchenaid logos do not match between the stove and micro hood. They are distinctly different colors. They don't even control their logo color. I just don't know what to say other than while this may be on the lower end for Kitchenaid, if this is any indication of their overall quality, good luck competing long term. I will never, and I mean never, purchase another product with the Kitchenaid brand on it. I hope this helps. I develop products for a living and know the difference between good and poor design and manufacturing quality. This is a really poor example of both in my opinion. Again, check the reviews on the largest retailer on earth. I think you will find it amazing how radical the difference is from this site. Makes you wonder. Sure wish I would have read those first. I understand from those reviews, although I haven't even used the product yet, the right front and left rear burners will barely even boil water and to do so, it takes an excessively long time.
