The lighting is great, and it is very spacious. But it makes a loud, startling noise when it cycles on and hums at other times too. I don't like either. Very noisy.

Let me start by saying every appliance in my home is a Whirlpool appliance. About 2 years ago I purchased a new refrigerator and glass stove top. Within 3 months the plastic bracket that is common to the two lower vegetable bins broke and after about 5 weeks of phone calls and online chats I found someone who could identify the part I needed and send it to me, however, they wanted $89.00 for this plastic bracket even though the unit was under warranty. Fortunately, after much complaining they sent it at no charge. This bracket broke again about 6 months later and I went through the same scenario trying to get a replacement. This bracket has now broke for the third time after 2 years and I have given up on replacing it and now just leave the vegetable bins sitting in the bottom of the refrigerator. This refrigerator also makes a variety of noises which my old Whirlpool refrigerator was almost whisper quiet and the unit was almost 30 years old when I replaced it. The manual says the water filter is in the upper right corner but it is not, to date I have never been able to locate the filter. I have chatted with an agent online and they tell me the same thing that the manual says, it is in the upper right hand corner. Please refer to the photos attached and you will plainly see there isn't a filter anywhere in the top of the refrigerator or anyplace else inside the area. I also opened up the rear grill at the top of the refrigerator where the cold air comes in and the base grill area for a filter and did not find one. I tried to add photos of the refrigerator inside but was unable to.

Like layout of interior... Don't like the low quality of the refrig. shelves, drawers or the wire rack in freezer...

shelves are not deep. the ice bin is not tall in the back so when you open the freezer drawer they fall off the back.

We bought this in December and were twice delayed in delivery. When the people delivered it, they forgot the waterline and said they don't hook it up(even though we paid for it). Fortunately we had purchased a waterline kit and they hooked it up, but they forgot to cut the line so it was 25 ft long. We love the unit even though 10 days later we still don't have ice in the ice maker. A service crew is coming tomorrow to fix it.

Refrigerator seems fine. Customer service is not.
There are no clear directions with the appliance or online on how to remove and rearrange the dividers in the top freezer pull-out shelf. I called customer support. They promised to "escalate" my issue to resolve my query. Nothing. Crickets. Why would the designers of this appliance make the removal of a shelf so non-intuitive.

We've had this in place for a couple of months and it's working as it's supposed to. In the beginning there was a strange noise which wasn't right! Two days later a very pleasant technician identified that the ice maker was turned on while we had not connected the water. Turned it off and noise gone. The review is to give credit to the prompt, pleasant response for a service call. Thanks

I had to replace my old refrigerator due to leaking water on the floor. Tried unplugging it for a day and it seemed to do better, but then it went right back to freezing water in veggie drawer and even onto the floor. Many people recommended Whirlpool brand to purchase. Whirlpool freezer drawers are smaller than my other freezer drawers, but I™™m getting used to it.happy with the rest of the features!

I like the color and the food capacity in both the refrigerator and the freezer. It is significantly louder than my Samsung that I just replaced with this whirlpool. I think if I would™™ve known it was this loud I probably would™™ve looked into a different refrigerator. It™™s not that it is annoying. It™™s going to take some getting used to because my Samsung was very quiet compared to this one. Also, the freezer is on the bottom and a single door refrigerator on the top and the door tends to open the whole way, which is something I have to get used to because I™™ve always had a side-by-side

This Whirlpool is exactly like our old Kenmore; bottom freezer, adjustable shelves and we love it! We bought the black one. Description didn™™t say, ™black stainless™™, which is what it turned out to be, so it™™s more of a dark grey.

Bought this fridge a few months ago and so far i've been happy with it. It feels much sturdier than most fridge models and has a good heaviness to it. Spacious and well organized inside. Easy to clean and temparture control. We're not using the ice maker so ai can't comment on that but i would recommend this model.

just purchased this refrigerator 07/07/20025 replaced my 15 yr old whirlpool side by side. Never had a bottom drawer freeze. So far, not happy with the freezer drawer the way is opens and shuts. Loud, doesn't slide easily. Disappointed with this part so far.

This refrigerator is a replacement for a very similar, 33yo GE bottom freezer, single-door fridge I had. THINGS I LIKE... 1. Same size overall as old fridge, 2. black stainless looks nice, fingerprint-free doors that are magnetic, 3. being brand new, it's quieter. THINGS I DON'T LIKE... 1. I lost a full 3 inches of front-to-back depth on the crisper drawers, including the glass shelf above them, compared to old fridge, as well as about an inch in top-to-bottom depth, 3. the crisper drawers and the lunch meat drawer do not have rollers; instead, they slide against plastic tracks and sway side to side when opening and closing making it difficult to use when full. They also come out way too easily from the tracks when opened fully. When closing the crisper drawers, they sometimes get hung up on the little tabs for controlling humidity; As such, drawers are cheap feeling, 4. the light at top is too far back from the front of fridge and does not light the bottom shelves, only the top shelf, so the remaining shelves are always darker than they should be, 5. The fridge needs one more standard shelf, plus an extra (but deeper) door bin, and a covered door bin for butter. The door bins have curved inside edges which take away from overall usable space. 6. the slide out freezer drawers are very difficult to store lots of items in; most items get buried; it would have been nice to also include some shelves/bins on the inside of the freezer door itself for smaller items that are used more frequently; otherwise, it's just wasted space. Overall, it's great looking, but sub-par compared to the overall quality of design that went into my old GE (from the '90s). LG has a similar model with overall better quality, drawer and bin space, and usability.

I bought this refrigerator for several reason, all good! Firstly, this 33 inch wide refrigerator has a TON of room in the refrigerator section - it can hold your milk and koolaid on the side shelves, and the general shelving is also very roomy! Secondly, I chose this refrigerator because I already had a water filtration system and did NOT want to keep paying for water filters every 6 months - a savings to my pocket! Thirdly, I absolutely LOVE the black stainless steel fingerprint resist feature. It's pleasing to the eye, and easy to keep clean. Lastly, this refrigerator makes ALOT of ice, and it hooks up easily to your water filtration system. All in All, I am very happy with both the refrigerator function (it stays nice and cold!), as well as the price for the appliance. Thank You Whirlpool!

Delivered June 14, I love the frigerator except for ice maker machine noise. Have not hooked up to water; raised metal bar up as per instructions if not using. Ice maker makes noise when it is not hooked up for use! Very. Annoying. Also no owner manual; you have to go on line. Nothing regarding noise of icemaker!

4th time I bought this fridge, this time in black SS (very nice looking) and bigger than previous ones. I love the one door and bottom freezer which is why I always buy this fridge. I do NOT like how flimzy the drawers are! Seems like after all this time Whirlpool should be able to do something about that. Whirlpool is one of the few one door fridge's with adjustable shelve capability and that's a big YES for me. Do better with the drawers, otherwise it's wonderful.

We are happy with the look and performance of our new refrigerator. We needed to reverse the refrigerator door hinges and handle. The instructions to make the change was not as clear and thorough as they should have been. However, we were able to figure out the proper method and tools to satisfactorily complete the process. The door swing side was not an option when we ordered the refrigerator, and the delivery company stated they are responsible for altering the door swing.

I owned a Kenmore/Whirlpool for 30 years. I should have searched harder to see if replacement parts could have been found. This new one is below standard and not for what Whirlpool used to stand. The first refrigerator delivered had a fist-sized styofoam sticky blob underneath the doors. Apparently foam is shot for insulation, but nothing is done to plug the hole, so it leaks out. The 2nd one came with a little less foam, but still terrible quality control, The black sides do not match the stainless steel front. How cheap can you be, Whirlpool? I could go on, but seems quality is gone, never to return. Their customer service was also bad. Phone must have rang for 15 minutes before someone picked up.

Several times, left home leaving door open a fraction because no alarm goes off. The French doors do not close easily. And, the freezer drawer does not close easily...and no alarm. The ice maker drop consistently clogs up. The water filter doesnt last long, replacement very expensive compared to my previous refrigerator. Service from retailer claim ignorance. Will never buy this brand again.

We have had this frig a couple of weeks and it is great so far!! This replaced a VERY VERY noisy GE frig and the "quietness" of this unit is unbelievable!!! So much better.

Very nice looking, good quality, wide and still single door, so with one gesture you can access everything in this very spacious fridge. The bottom freezer is also spacious and easy to access. There are no bells and whistles, but I was looking for a spacious good fridge in black stainless steel, and not gadgets that will break soon™¦ and so happy to have found it.

Slide out bins have no rollers, any weight at all makes them slide hard bottom freezer bin is screen instead of solid plastic. Makes noise when opening and closing. Disconnect with installers on running water line through cabinets.

We bought this for two huge reasons: 1) Bottom freezer drawer, and 2) Singular fridge door. Our space for the fridge is right by the home™™s back door, so the French door fridge would not fit there without being a pain to open. We™™re happy that there™™s an ice machine, as well. The only bummer is there™™s no filtered water option.

Refrigerator delivered just under a month ago. So far it has been flawless. Quiet, keeps the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer as it should. It is the twin of a Whirlpool (well, almost - old one was a white Whirlpool Gold; this one is black stainless just Whirlpool) we bought 15-ish years ago. Even the door and glass shelves from the old one fit. That one, too, was flawless until it wasn't. Had the service guy out multiple times starting in the second/third year for the same problem until Whirlpool finally made a design change and sent him a new design replacement part. Let's hope that design has persisted and no other failures have been introduced over the intervening years. With that fix, it served us well for ~10 years with no problems until a board failed. So, spend almost half the price of a new one on a repair or buy a new one. Opted for a new one. One month in, it is great.

Our bottom freezer Amana of 20 years finally gave out, parts to fix would have cost as much as a new fridge. All the new refrigerators have entirely different proportions, mostly narrower and deeper. Fortunately, this model fit the prescribed cabinet space the best, and we're very pleased with it. Super quiet, holds the temp well, and I'm now used to the pull-out freezer drawer instead of a hinged door (hubby still prefers the latter). I thought the shelving with rounded corners would be a problem, but most things kept in the door are round jars or ketchup and mustard with rounded edges, so it all works out fine.

I bought this refrigerator to replace mine that died. It was the closest one to my former model. I think the produce and fruit drawers are too small (not deep enough). It is also has another drawer that is too small that I use for cheese and wraps. That drawer should go across the whole interior.

Almost two months now; one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. Notably, it runs so quiet I had to get close to make sure it was working. Individual shelves, light in the freezer, ice maker, all excellent. My only criticism is the ice cube bin is way too big taking up freezer space. I'm hunting for a small bin, then it's all perfect.

I did a lot of research and it paid off. I like the independent shelve, light in the freezer, and single top door. Fits perfectly in my tight kitchen. Not worth subtracting a star, but the ice bin is way too big taking up valuable freezer space. I had to switch door opening from left to right, simply done.
