ReStart: if something boils over, the cooktop automatically turns itself off and saves the last selected setting. Stores your control settings. If you turn off the cooktop it saves the last selected setting for a short time. If the cooktop is switched of within a short time again the former settings are still available.

Cooktop - Installation not so much

I've only had it since july since it was delayed due to Pandemic so installed mid July 2021. I LOVE THIS COOKTOP! So many great functions and so easy to cook on...It has a count down and count up feature...which is so helpful...Multiply sizes for all my pans..I couldn't be happier. When you turn off the burner it will be lit with a capital H and as it cools it becomes a lower case h. Another big feature is it has half increments...4, 4.5, 5 5.5 and so on. And very reactive to increase and decrease in cooking. Cleanup is a breeze, just be sure and buy the product recommended. I didn't mention as it seems obvious but...it's aesthetically pleasing to look at too! We went with the 36 and now i'm glad I did..it wasn't much more $ wise and totally worth it. Now, Installation...was not so great..and too long a story but finally got the clips (that were missing in the box) and got them in place. All said, I love my Bosch cooktop and I love my Bosch dishwasher (still going strong after 12yrs and I run it almost daily).

Amazing cooktop

We spent a little extra to upgrade to this cooktop. Glad we did! Love it so much more than a gas range for low temperature and keep warm ability. Displays are easy to master with a little practice. I've been using for 6 months now and won't ever go back to gas. Very easy to clean!

Nothing to complain. All the functions are great. Love the design. Very useful and can say that we are all BOSCH fitted now in the household. That was the last piece to replace.

Fantastic Cooktop

When the one burner on my cooktop wouldn't heat any longer, I ordered the same model but with the pandemic, it meant having to wait for Bosch to build a new one. The wait was just over 3 months but it was well worth the wait. This model differs just slightly in terms of appearance; however, it was works perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

Avoid this cooktop

This cooktop worked great for a short time then it became almost impossible to turn on. This seems to be a common problem for this unit. I wish I had known before spending $1400 and now looking at a $300+ repair bill. I have been a loyal customer of Bosch ( 2 dishwashers, a fridge and a microwave) but this is the last time I will buy a Bosch. There are other brands that are as good and apparently more reliable.
